SMS Gateway API for USA & Canada
Our Bulk SMS API makes it possible to send out and receive volume discounted SMS text messages to mobile users via Anchor Mobile in the USA and Canada.
This system works best for those who need to release large quantities of SMS messages. There is no fee for the mobile user to receive the SMS messages. The price per message to the sender will also decrease with the more messages that are sent out per month. With Anchor you can reach all mobile users in the USA and Canada with a SMS Bulk Agreement
One you have received your five-digit access number and are connected to the Anchor mobile network using our integration platform you can then send out SMS messages through our SMS centre. The SMS Bulk package provides the sender with a easy and effective way of distributing SMS messages.
Our Bulk SMS API can be used for both “push” and “pull” messages. “Push” messages which are sent out without having been requested and “pull” messages that are an SMS message service which has been requested by the mobile user. Bulk SMS API cannot be used to send out SMS messages with commercial content.
Functional description
Content providers can use this product to distribute SMS messages to mobile users in the USA and Canada. The mobile users receive the SMS messages almost instantly.
What happens when SMS Bulk messages are submitted?
1. The Content Provider sends out SMS messages containing the information he wants to allocate to the mobile users via Anchor’s SMS Gateway from his five-digit access number. The mobile users then receive the SMS messages free of charge.
2. Next, the SMS Bulk messages are sent via Anchor’s SMS center to mobile users in the USA or Canada. The Bulk SMS API service also allows the mobile user to send a reply in return to the content provider’s access number. Anchor then will invoice the content provider once a month.
Bulk SMS API enables content providers to send out SMS messages in large quantities in addition to mobile users who have not requested a SMS service. The content provider can also use the provided service to send out SMS messages when the mobile user has asked for information or a service. The Bulk SMS service cannot be used whatsoever to allocate SMS messages containing advertisements including commercial.
SMS Gateway Credits
Our platform is credit based. One SMS credit equals one MT (mobile terminated) message. Anchor does NOT charge for incoming SMS or Mobile Originated messaging. Credits are volume priced. The more credits you purchase, the lower your per message rate will be. Message credits roll over and do not expire as long as the gateway account is in good standing.

Technical information
In order to send Bulk SMS the content provider must send sms message via secure http interface, the user needs to submit 5 parameters to http url including; cid, password, shortmessage and destnumber.

Message Errors
The SMS Gateway will report back to the content provider or submitter with status reports based on SMS messages received. This information informs the content provider whether SMS message has been delivered to the mobile user or not. If messages are not delivered promptly or correctly to the mobile user then the status reports will include information to what went wrong during attempted delivery.
